They include a lead attorney, Bernadette Armandand associates Elizabeth Paige White and Eviealle Dawkins. Years of representing clients accused of some of the most serious crimes in Washington have given Armand extensive experience and insight into the precariousness of civil and human rights in the United States. She challenges government officials at all levels, from police to politicians, to honor the US Constitution which guarantees certain inalienable rights for all, especially those who are wronged when leaders flout those rights. Armand joined DiCello Levitt after serving as a senior attorney for the District of Columbia’s Public Defender Service, where she was the lead attorney for homicides and other serious criminal matters.

Elizabeth Paige White

White’s practice focuses on civil rights, police brutality and wrongful death cases. She began her career in public service, working as a public defender at Neighborhood Defender Services of Harlem in New York, handling hundreds of charges ranging from narcotics to violent crimes. She then joined the Public Defender Service of the District of Columbia, defending adults and minors in major crime cases including violent sexual assault and homicide. While working for the Public Defender, White successfully argued a series of writs of habeas corpus over conditions at DC’s Central Detention Center, which later led to the immediate release of a number of individuals.

Eviealle Dawkins

With a background in grassroots organizing and advocacy in the public and political spheres, Dawkins has developed deep personal perspectives on justice and accountability that are fundamental to her legal practice. At DiCello Levitt, Dawkins will apply his insight to litigation work on behalf of plaintiffs injured by civil or human rights abuses, environmental hazards and other acts of corporate wrongdoing.
